This neighborhood, often known as Downtown Fresno, is a bustling commercial and entertainment hub. Central Fresno, which is located in the heart of the city, has a population of roughly 14,000 people. Residents that live in Central Fresno choose to walk instead of driving since they are within walking distance of significant firms and surrounding facilities. There is always something going on in Central Fresno, with its many restaurants, stores, clubs, athletic activities, and even live concerts. Formerly known as the Fulton Mall, Fulton Street has been rehabilitated and now houses jewelry and fashion boutiques, as well as attractions such as the Grand 1401 events venue and the wood and fiberglass Fulton District Clocktower. The Mural District is well-known for its bright street art, cutting-edge galleries, and buzzing live music venues. Downtown Fresno is home to the Fulton Mall, Selland Arena, Grizzly Stadium, and City Hall, to name a few notable landmarks. Downtown Fresno also has several stunning historical buildings, such as the Fresno Water Tower. The FAC Water Tower in Fresno was constructed in 1894 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today, go inside to learn about its history and see the local art.  The Fresno Grizzlies are a minor league baseball club that plays at Chukchansi Park in downtown Fresno. This is a terrific date night or buddy hang-out idea, not simply because the tickets are inexpensive. The City Council approved a plan in 2010 to rehabilitate this region and assist Downtown Fresno to re-establish itself. Residents in this Fresno area prefer to walk to work rather than drive, making the streets relatively quiet.
